Ian Firth
​COUNCILLOR
CHAIR

Ian is a Chartered Surveyor with a background in Rural Estate Management, Planning and Architecture.

Ian lives in Fairfield Green (No.40) with his wife: Rebecca; Daughter: Emily and their lunatic dog; Skye. 

​Aside from chairing Parish Council Ian is also an assistant unit leader at 1st Hemyock Scouts, and has lived and worked in Churchinford and the Blackdown Hills area for around 20 years. His personal interests lie in entrepreneurship, rural pursuits, cycling, wild camping, extreme sports and technology...

Ian Foxwell
​COUNCILLOR
Ian's family have been well known in the parish for many generations and will undoubtedly remain so for many more!

Having grown up in Churchinford, Ian now lives in Barns Close with his wife Hannah and three children.  Ian has a wealth of knowledge on historical parish matters and is very well read. 

​
Ian works locally in the agricultural sector and (with Hannah's assistance) is known to supply some fantastic seasonal fayer (c/o Foxy's Fine Foods!)

Paul Carter
​COUNCILLOR
Paul has moved to Somerset in 2000 and has lived in the Parish for 6 years.

​
A retired salesman having worked in the industrial and agricultural sectors for many years, Paul brings a wealth of life experience to the council.  

Paul was co-opted by the council in November 2021.

Ken Pea​rson
​COUNCILLOR
Ken was previously employed as the Parish Clerk and liked it so much he decided to stand for election in 2019!

​
Ken is a CILCA qualified Parish Clerk and an ex-deputy leader of the former Taunton-Deane Borough Council.  He is thus a mine of information and a stickler for detail in Local Government matters.
​

Ken now lives in Churchinford (Fairfield Green) and, amongst other things, is employed as Clerk to Stockland Parish Council as well as being an FA Referee, Union representative for the ALCC.

Amy Peters
COUNCILLOR & ACTING CLERK
With a background in wine logistics, Amy has worked and lived around the globe gaining a wealth of business experience before settling in Churchinford in 2022 with her family.

Amy lives just outside Churchinford with her husband Ian, and three young children.  As a parent, Amy is keen to play her part in ensuring our Parish continues to be a safe, sustainable and enriching environment for its future generations.

Amy can often be seen out and about in the parish driving her children to and from school and preschool on their pony and carriage.

Helen Bradbeer
COUNCILLOR
Helen is an Agricultural Land Agent and was born and bred in the area, living in the Parish most of her life.

Helen lives in Fairfield Green and has strong connections with many elements of the broader community, including in her role as a Parent Governor at the Primary School.  She can often be seen walking her dog Robbie around the area.

Helens interests are Skittles, Music, Karaoke and Miniature Shetland Ponies.

Councillor
Rob is a local farmer and agricultural business owner.

He lives just outside Churchinford village with his wife and four children. Having grown up in Churchstanton Parish, Rob has a real passion for the Parish.

​His interests include, skittles, rugby, Formula 1, music, as well as outdoor and country pursuits.
